One of my favorite books I’ve read in a while. I truly loved it from beginning to end. Alex Flinn does a really good job at writing fairytale and I have to say, this is my favorite yet (although, I’ve yet to read her newest novel Bewitching and I’m positive I am going to love that one too).
One of my favorite aspects of this book has to be the way Alex Flinn has managed to write the entire book in two point of views. Most books that I (or my sister) have read like that have either a)retold the events over and over again just changing a few details from the second person’s view thus making the book repeat itself or b)made the second person’s point of view weak and unfitting to the rest of the book (yeah I’m talking about Breaking Dawn, don’t get me wrong love the book, but the part with Jacob’s point of view was a little strange). So I applaud Flinn for doing a great job of juggling both main characters.
Talia – princess that is used to getting everything she wants. Jack – rebel teen trying to get over his ex-girlfriend. Perfect match for each other. In part, I hope Alex Flinnn writes a sequel (or short story) that goes along with this novel because there are so many more adventures that she can give these two. But she also left the book off in a very beautiful place for all her characters and that’s something that’s rarely done right.
5 out of 5 stars for A Kiss in Time. This is a perfect read for anyone who loves fairytales and romance. No, actually this is something for everyone to read. So, if you’re reading this review, close your laptop (or keep it open if you’re like me and buy books online) and go out and get this book!
